Looking to do some good this summer? Are you passionate about the environment? Well, we have an amazing opportunity for you. Global Leadership Adventures, a company that provides life-changing experiences to cultivate a global perspective and open-mindedness in students, is giving away a 10-day, all-expenses paid trip to Costa Rica. You'll be asked to devote 20 hours of your time to help in local nature reserves building trails, making signs, and other general maintenance work but also have the opportunity to zip-line through the rainforest, whitewater raft, hike to hidden waterfalls, and much more. You'll even get to fully immerse yourself in Costa Rican culture as you'll live in a large home with the volunteering group right outside the town of Santa Elena.

High school students ages 14 to 18 are eligible to enter by answering the following essay question: How have you shown leadership in your community? And, how would performing community service in an international setting help you further develop your leadership skills on a local and global level?

Responses must be no more than 500 words and can be emailed to contest@experiencegla.com and must be received by June 25, 2010 at 12:00 a.m. PDT to be eligible for the contest. Read more details about the program at Experiencegla.com and you can apply and find out all the rules by clicking here!

Are you applying for this amazing community service opportunity? How are you already helping your local community?

Xoxo,

Kayla
